Shearwater Pottery

Overview
Shearwater Pottery is a small family-owned pottery founded in 1928 by Peter Anderson with the support of his parents, George and Annette Anderson. Peter was Shearwater’s master potter while his brothers Walter Inglis Anderson and James McConnell Anderson decorated and designed figurines. All three of the original brothers are deceased now, but the pottery continues as a family affair, producing exceptional pieces of art on site by James Anderson, Peter Wade Anderson, Patricia Anderson Findeisen, Christopher Inglis Stebly, and Adele Anderson Lawton! Art pottery, utilitarian ware, figurines, decorative tiles, and other ceramic objects are just a few of the fabulous pieces made. Stop by and see how this fabulous "lost art" continues today.
