Lil' Ray Neal

Lil’ Ray (Raful Neal III), the third eldest of ten siblings, has long been regarded as one of the finest blues guitarists in the business.

Lil’ Ray Neal has the blues flowing in his blood. A member of Baton Rouge’s iconic Neal Family Band, he learned at the feet of his father, blues legend Rayful Neal, Sr., and brother Kenny Neal, and continued that legacy playing for such notable bluesmen as BB King, Buddy Guy, Bobby Blue Bland, Bobby Rush, Little Milton, and James Cotton, among many others. He soaked up blues, developing his own sound style and tone (not relying on peddles and gizmos) that he calls “true blues”.
