Join us for the 96th Annual Blessing of the Fleet celebration on Sunday, July 6 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Starting at 11 a.m. will be "The Shrimp Princess Pageant Contest”, for ages 5 to 8 years old. There will be arts and craft vendors, live entertainment, and great viewing for the Biloxi Boat Blessing.
The ceremonial wreath dropping will occur at 12:30 p.m. Boats will form in the west end of the Biloxi Channel near the Beau Rivage Casino & Resort and then parade east in the Biloxi Channel. Shrimp and recreational boats are welcome to receive blessing for a safe and bountiful season. Boat participants do not need applications.
Cash prizes will be given; $1000 to the 1st place best decorated boat, $500 will be given to 2nd best decorated boat, and a $500 participation award will be given to a selected working boat. New this year is a $300 cash prize to the best decorated pleasure boat.
We encourages the boat owners from St. Michael, Vietnamese Martyrs and Blessed Seelos churches and the community to come out and celebrate this long-standing tradition in Biloxi.
