Overview

White Pillars Restaurant is a farm-to-table restaurant owned and operated by Chef Austin Sumrall and his wife Tresse. They take special care to source all of their ingredients from local farms and the menu changes almost everyday! You can enjoy Gulf fish, seafood, steak, rabbit, pork and fresh made pasta just to name a few! The new White Pillars is a careful cross between nostalgia and modern dining with farm to table seasonal cuisine in a restored and historic Biloxi beachfront home.

Since opening White Pillars in 2017, Chef Sumrall and his cuisine have been recognized and awarded both locally and nationally. For multiple years running, White Pillars has been voted Best Restaurant, Best Happy Hour, Best Wedding Venue, Best Fine Dining, Best Brunch and Best Chef on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!  In 2020, owner and Chef Austin Sumrall, was nominated as a Semi-Finalist by the prestigious James Beard Foundation in the category “Best Chef South.” He was crowned “King of American Seafood” when he won the acclaimed Great American Seafood Cook-off in New Orleans in 2021.  In 2023 Chef Austin was recognized by the alumni association at his alma mater as an Ole Miss 40 under 40 recipient. You can watch Chef Sumrall bring home the gold for the South on Food Network’s latest season of Alex vs America, a high stakes cooking competition that pits experts in a certain cuisine against Iron Chef and all around competitive powerhouse Chef Alex Guarnaschelli.

Chef Austin Sumrall and his wife Tresse are proud Mississippians, therefore everything you see, touch, and taste will likely be from right here in their home state. From the serving dishes to the hand-crafted farm tables, every detail of your experience at White Pillars Restaurant has been thought through with quintessential southern hospitality in mind.

Open for dinner Wednesday-Saturday 5:30-9pm and Sunday for Brunch 11am-2pm.
