Airey Lake Recreation Area

Overview
Operated by the United States Forest Service and located within the De Soto National Forest is Airey Lake Recreation Area. The Tuxachanie Trail passes near this site and there are year-round recreation opportunities abounding for the hiker and camper. Vast expanses of national forest lands are perfect settings for bird watching and rejuvenating the spirit. The sites are unnumbered, picnic tables are available, group camping is permissible, and there is a 3-acre lake for canoeing and fishing. Note: All National Forest Campgrounds prohibit alcohol. Note: Foot traffic only - no bikers.
Directions: Take Highway 49 to Saucier; take Highway 67 east to Bethel Road; turn left (north); follow Bethel to four-way stop; go left (north) approximately three miles on county road 412 (Airey Tower Road).
