The Spinners

The Spinners are an American R&B vocal group that gained prominence in the 1970s with their smooth harmonies and soulful sound. Originally formed in 1954 in Detroit, Michigan, they found early success with Motown before achieving their greatest fame under Atlantic Records in the early to mid-1970s. Known for hits like "I'll Be Around," "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love," and "Rubberband Man," the Spinners became a cornerstone of the Philly Soul movement, working closely with producer Thom Bell. Their classic lineup included lead singer Philippe Wynne, Henry Fambrough, Bobbie Smith, Pervis Jackson, and Billy Henderson. The group continues to perform today with Henry Fambrough as the last surviving original member.
