As part of Freedom Week 2025, residents, community leaders, and advocates will gather at the Orange Grove Community Center at 6:19 p.m. for a powerful evening themed “Moving Forward Together.”
The State of the Community Address will celebrate progress and outline a vision for economic empowerment, civic engagement, and unity across Gulfport’s Black community.
The evening will feature a keynote address by Gulfport’s newly elected mayor, who will share plans to advance Black economic development, boost political representation, and build a stronger, more unified city.
