Horn Island 8-Day/7-Night Campout | Fall Trip

Spend a week walking in Anderson’s footsteps, exploring the sand dunes, sleeping under the stars, and painting the flora and fauna of the island depicted in Anderson’s vibrant watercolors. Join us and bring your own camping, fishing, and art-making supplies. This trip happens annually in the fall and is for the avid camper.  

Tickets for this trip are $900 per person. Park permit fees, transportation to and from the island, guide fees, group gear: basecamp, cookware, fuel, pre-trip planning information, coffee and continental breakfast, dinner, water, emergency equipment, and first aid are included.

TRIP SCHEDULE

*Sat, Oct 12*
6-7 a.m.
Arrival at the boat.
Biloxi Small Craft Harbor
We will be chartering "Skipper Charters" out of Biloxi, MS, to take us to the island. Please arrive on time and ready to load your gear into the boat.

7-9 a.m.
Leave the mainland for Horn Island.
We will arrive at Horn Island around 9 a.m., depending on the wind and waves. Captain Frank pulls a skiff behind the boat. Once you arrive at the island, he will anchor offshore and begin taxiing four people and gear at a time to the shore.  

10-11 a.m.
Base Camp Meeting
Base Camp
As soon as everyone and their gear are on the island, we will have a meeting at base camp. A light lunch will be provided at this time, along with tips and tricks for securing your tents. This meeting is mandatory, even if you have been camping with us before. 

6-9 p.m.
Dinner and a bonfire
Dinner will be served between 6 and 7 at base camp. Afterwards, we will have a group fire.

We will be serving coffee and a few continental breakfast items at base camp. Please bring your own coffee cup!

6-9 p.m.

We will be serving coffee and a few continental breakfast items at base camp. Please bring your own coffee cup!

1-2 p.m.
Departure to the Mainland
Base Camp

Make sure your campsite is fully broken down and packed up and that all of your gear is on the shore, ready for departure by 1 p.m. Everyone will board the boat the same way they arrived at the island. Once you are on the boat, a delectable lunch will be provided. Bon Voyage!
