BILOXI, MS, SEPTEMBER 10, 2024 – Tropical Storm Francine is projected to make landfall in Louisiana on Wednesday, September 11. As it continues to move over the Gulf, it is expected to strengthen into a Category 1 Hurricane and affect the Coastal Mississippi region, resulting in inclement weather and storm surge.
As the tourism organization charged with promoting South Mississippi as a tourism and convention destination, we encourage both residents and visitors to our region to remain vigilant and informed. Please monitor announcements from Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) as well as local news media for the latest coverage of the storm track and any alerts and evacuations that are deemed necessary.
